Sloping Site Residence
Tarbuck Bay, NSW 2428
Beyond Structural Engineering provided comprehensive structural engineering services for this double-storey residence on a challenging sloping site in Tarbuck Bay, New South Wales. The project incorporated a basement level, retaining walls, and suspended structural elements, requiring careful consideration of site topography, soil conditions, load transfer, and construction methodology.
Working closely with the design team, we developed practical and efficient structural solutions that maximised the site’s potential while seamlessly integrating with the contemporary architectural design.
The structural design incorporated reinforced concrete footings, basement retaining walls, suspended concrete slabs, masonry construction, and timber framing systems to create a robust and efficient structural solution for the sloping site. Particular attention was given to earth-retaining structures, basement construction, drainage considerations, and load transfer between levels to ensure long-term structural performance.
Through detailed coordination between the structural and architectural design, the project achieved spacious living areas, efficient use of the sloping block, and a practical construction methodology suited to the site’s unique conditions.
This project highlights Beyond Structural Engineering’s expertise in sloping site homes, basement construction, retaining wall design, and complex residential structural engineering projects throughout Australia.
